Ten members of the Port Richmond CERT team went to the FDNY Fire Academy and completed a one-day CERT refresher course. The classroom and hands on training was conducted by FDNY & NYPD instructors. The team used their incident command skills during a table top exercise, then went outdoors for additional hands-on training.
The team practiced fire suppression, cribbing & leveraging, and medical triage. Certificates of completion were handed out to all team members.
